There are four forms of excused absences recognized by the institution: Students who accumulate two weeks’ worth of unexcused absences, may be administratively withdrawn from class. A record of attendance is maintained from the first day of classes and/or the first day the student’s name appears on the roster through final examinations. Students who accrue one week’s worth of absences during the semester will be sent an e-mail through their Buc account requiring them to contact their instructor and immediately schedule a conference to discuss their attendance issues. Thursday, JANUARY 5 th: ONLINE REPORT 1 DUE The Reports are due on the following dates (also found in our course calendar): These reports can act as a little dialogue and discussion about music, which I feel is the best way to appreciate this art form. The rest of the report should contain personal feedback from you about what you thought of the concert, maybe something you particularly liked or disliked or anything that struck you as interesting or even some questions that you may have. The following information must be contained in the report: Ensemble name, location and time of event, instruments used, style of music, and works performed. These videos will be linked on our E-Campus web page in separate Content Module “Online Report Drop Boxes.” I am requiring each of you to watch the entirety of these two concerts during the semester and write a 2 page report (no more, no less) that is double spaced, uses standard margins and a 12 point font, and only uses a ONE-LINE HEADER. So I will be setting up You Tube video assignments to be completed. However, due to the time frame of our semester and the time of year, live concerts will be very difficult to attend. In order to really understand the concepts and Ideas of our text it is important to go out and experience live concerts.
